September already?! Update
Wow where has the time gone? August has flown by its a distant memory now :( life has been a blur! ( I have just found time to write this post on my waking night at work hehe whilst everything is calm)
I swear the older you get the faster time goes!
Anyway here are a few things that have happened recently:
I'm working (woohoo) found a job in June.
I have been organising my wedding for the past 4 months intensively (so glad the organisation is over and done with but so sad that my big day is over)
I turned 23!
I'm kind of glad to be getting my life back to normal after uni and wedding planning, I'm looking forward to spending more time on my blog and doing stupid little things I couldn't do before such as going to Nandos, catching up with friends and going for day trips out as one the funds did not permit and we did not have time!
Here are a couple of snaps happy blogging x

Its summer!!!! foraging for my summer makeup favorites..
I don't know why but I always feel that the sun has an instant effect on my mood; I always feel loads better! good old vitamin D.
Since the sun has been out my skin is slowly but surely darkening and I can finally where some of my darker foundations out of my chameleon collection.
at the minute I am loving nars sheer glow, not too much coverage but enough to cover my freckles up without it feeling thick!
My current favourites at the minute are:

Life at University
I have finally finished all of my written work at University!! YESS! I am pending one placement until I can fully practise as a dietitian so I won't graduate until next year boo!
However since I have stuck out 4 years of the bloody place I thought I would give my insight of what University life is all about for people who are about to go. Here are some tips for future fresher's and I am sure some of you will relate to them..who have lived the university experience.

- Going to university is your chance to get out into the big bad world and be miss independent! Choose a different city (pending on your course of course (haha)) this enables you to experience life independently for the first time, you will learn a hell of a lot in the first 6 months you are away from home...I'm talking about washing (or lack of), feeding yourself, making money last and when prying yourself away from the social attributes of university making sure you do work!
- Choose university halls in the first year of study- you will makes lots and lots of friends who you never even thought you would rub shoulders with...its such an interesting time and you will learn so much about different people- leave your door open and don't be frightened to throw yourself out there and be the first to make the move- everyone is as nervous as you- just don't get too drunk and make an idiot out of yourself- People do remember. I have made some friends for life who I will never lose touch with- its like you have grown up together and you have an unique bonding experience.
- Please DO remember that anything embarrassing you did in the first week of university -everyone will remember for the whole duration you are there, be careful!
- Take every opportunity thrown at you and do it, yeah student rep may sound boring but it looks great on your CV and you never know where it may take you in the future
- you will have good and bad experiences and times when you just want to go home- this is normal! Everyone feels like this at some point!
- You will put on weight/lose weight when starting uni- do not worry this is temporary by second year you will have calmed things down and you should be back to where you started!
- University from my experience was not clicky- everyone got on with each other so take the opportunity to go out and get to know people!
- Lastly have a good time and have fun- all the free time as a student will be soon over and believe me you will miss it like crazy! This is the time in your life where you build your foundations for your career and life!

Hair progress
Hello, I hope everyone is well. I thought I'd post an update on how my hair doing.
Over the past year I've been trying so hard to grow my hair...that means, keeping it swiftly away from hair dressers (I DO NOT CARE IF I HAVE SHIT ENDS!!) and washing it in sulphate free shampoos and straightening it as little as I can.. my GHD's are gathering dust in the their lonely corner..
This is the length of my hair currently straightened:
Its taken so long to get here but it is finally starting to get long!
Things that I have personally found that have helped to achieve this length are:
- Time and patience- yes ladies sorry I really don't think there is a quick fix;
- Less heat and sulphate free shampoos I feel have helped keep the condition of my hair;
- Not going to the hair dressers- I'm sorry but you cannot be trusted when I am growing my hair!
Issues I have had:
- Product build up- its disgusting and it makes my hair itchy and flaky, I guess the only way to overcome this is to use clarifying shampoos.
Has anyone got any great tips for keeping hair in tip top condition?

OOTD
Hi ya'll just hope everyone is good, just thought I'd do an outfit post. It's pretty sunny up north - but still a little chilly I think I was over ambitious with my chosen outfit as the sunshine was deceiving! I like the idea of this out fit but I'm a little concious of wearing figure hugging clothes as my hips are the widest part of me and I'm paranoid I look out of proportion and tubby, but I decided to brave it today...

Always make small talk with makeup counter ladies- new purchases.
Hello,
Just thought I'd do an update about the little gems I found whilst scuffling around House of Fraser or "Binns" as it is known in Darlington. I was running low on my YSL holy grail mascara and needed to pick a new one up (Or Shaun did hehe). Whilst at the YSL counter my little beady eyes noticed that they had a reduction box, so off I scuttled and I found a beautiful blush/bronzer, which was reduced from £29.50 to a mere £7.30, I can't resist a bargain! It has to be snapped up!
Anyway whilst I was looking around a makeup counter lady came up to assist- (I think firstly she was watching us like hawks to see if we were up to no good, good old Darlington isn't full of the nicest species!) I asked for my mascara and rummaged through the makeup box and found the beautiful blush. After this we got talking about makeup thefts and how plebs often came in the shop and tried numerous makeup products upon themselves in the most unhygienic ways, plunging dirty fingers ans putting mascara on straight from the stick from testers (EWWW). She took me and Shaun to the Lancome makeup counter (which I haven't purchased anything from in years) and began to tell us about the new products...I was sucked in and listened attentively and Shaun even took a seat! hehe. She must have taken a liking as she gave us all of these free testers - generously filled up to the top too! She especially paid attention to Shaun as SEVEN of the testers are for him! I only got a foundation one hmph! I'm not complaining though.
All in all I'd definately go back as she was so lovely and willing to help, I know this sounds silly but I did trust her words...

Blush Collection
I am absolutely obsessed with blusher, I love buying a new blush to brighten up my face. I remember when I was 16 years old, looking at the Barbie loves Mac collection and instantly falling in love with the blush. It was then my mission to buy it- unfortinately it had sold out but the lovely MUA at the counter had me hooked on petal point of the hybrids collection. Alas...my obsession had begun!

His and hers haul
Me and the other half were idly browsing House of Fraser with no intention of buying anything ...and we came out with these ... (minus the hair dye). The Mr. is very particular about his facial routine and swears by Clinique for men. Whilst he was stocking up on his favourite products, I as sort of a Clinique virgin (I've got one lip shine lipstick and used testers of products before) began to browse the foundations.
My skin is pretty dry and in need of TLC at the moment so I was eyeing up moisturising formulas and the lady convinced me that I needed the super moisture foundation. I think its intention to brighten up dull skin- mine needs just this! When trying it on in the shop it looked fab so I asked to take home a tester sample but Alas the Mr. decided that he would treat me to it.. I wasn't going to pass up on this!
So far- I do think the product lives up to its claims. When applying it, I find it looks really natural and not too dewy. I've discovered its got tiny little sparkly bits in it, this doesn't bother me at all but I know some people will object!
I'll update y'all later. The pictures are down below.

Personal weight loss journey
This year I have picked up several regular unhealthy eating habits which have lead to me gaining around a stone. Think regular trips to Mcdonalds, Nandos, over indulgence in Costa, Cafe Nero and Starbucks ....Mmmm hot chocolate! Even though I've enjoyed indulging I haven't enjoyed the effects it has on my waist line- all those extra kcals have lead to extra lbs on the pesky scale.
My usual weight is 10st3/4 and can fluctuate to 10st5-6. I'm around 5ft11 so its pretty healthy. My BMI is around 20.5kg/m2 at this weight. I'm currently 11st or 70kg so I haven't got a large amount to lose (I consider this a small amount for myself but it may be a large amount for other people). My BMI even though not unhealthy is around 22kg/m2 < some people look really good around this range! I just feel that I need to start eating more healthily. I measured my fat range and its just over the healthy range too, reflects what I eat really...too much high fat and high calorie foods.
My plan is to lose this naughty 'stone' by august so I feel good on my wedding day. I say 'feel good' because I believe whatever weight, a women you looks beautiful.
Here are some photos of my rather bloated stomach:
