Hair routine

Totally totally trying to grow my hair for August when I get married *I've got sooo much organising to get on with*

My hair is naturally curly but fine its around mid length now and its had its fair share of abuse over the years, I've been red, blonde, brunette again then blonde...I'm finally back to by natural (ish) colour- it hasn't been dyed for 3 months plus now and I'm not going to dye it until august (she says).

What I am planning to do to *hopefully* increase length and reduce split ends

  • straighten/use heat only once at a maximum per week
  • wash it every other day instead of everyday
  • use only mousse and argan oil to style it daily
  • avoid the hair dressers like the plauge- scissor happy hair dressers!! Grrr...

Here is my hair journey- sorry the pictures are jumbled(and my dodgey posing)- blogger and me don't get on when its comes to pictures..

Hair now (curled) I want it longer...

Wedding magazines.

I rarely ever buy magazines as I find them repetitive: they purely just advertise clothes, cosmetics and other things in general that you could generally do without...oh the irony as I continue to write this beauty blog!

However...I caved in and bought these too magazines as I am no where near finding a dress and I need inspiration! Argh.

I love looking through the glossy pages and pretty dresses and beautiful wedding themes :). Hopefully I will find some inspiration. ...

Well deserved beauty buys.

Hello all I hope you all have had a beautiful weekend. I've literally spent mine up! I had a quick shopping trip with the other half to the metro and couldn't resist House of Fraser!

I stocked up on some new concealer- I've been cliche and I am trying Mac studio fix- so far so good to be honest.

Secondly impulsively I bought Mac's MSF stereo rose! Jesus its beautiful! I have no regrets at all! I'm sure this will be one of my most reached to blushes!

A foundation- I've been catching up with the blogging world and really liked the look on YSL's touche eclat foundation- after having a sample pot I bought it as I loved it- its very comparable to mac's face and body which I love! Possibly my new every day foundation :)

I've been dying to get some new makeup brushes and snapped up the opportunity when I spotted the mini ecotools brushes at TK maxx- They ARE BRILLIANT! My mac brushes are being pushed aside I love all of them especially the contour and powder/foundation brush. They were a bargain at 6.99

Mac....love/hate relationship

I don't know how fellow bloggers feel about this but I personally have a very big love/hate relationship with the brand. To be fair I think I just love to hate even though every time I go to the counter I nearly always (pending on funds) come away with something.

What I personally find marvellous about Mac-

Blushes they are *Simply* amazing! I love the variety and versatility of the brand's cheek products including bronzers, blush textures and highlighter (MSF's)

Lipstick- I adore the colours and I have quite a collection of them but I do find them to be a little drying on my lips (I'm an avid lip picker I do admit as disgusting as it sounds I hate feeling rought skin on my lips!).

What I find is over hyped about the company-

Foundation- I hate it (bar face and body and studio fix powder I believe they are worth the hype!) I think it is simply s**t. Over hyped and does nothing for me - My first ever high end foundation was select spf 15 (which I believe they are discontinuing I wonder whyyyy) and studio sculpt pfft...It just does not sit on my skin correctly! Studio fix, cakey...just does not look good ( I wish I could have told my former teenage self this).

Brushes- They shed like crazy! All the four I have just shed shed shed! Saying that my 190 foundation brush has lasted me nearly 8 years now, I don't feel my others will though (187, 160, 169 also had a mini 187 which broke!) Hello Sam Chapman's real techniques I am dying to get my taloons on those!

LIMITIED EDITION PRODUCTS WHICH THEY BRING OUT AND DISCONTINUE ANNOYING ANNOYING ANNOYING....

Ignoramous sales people who look hideously dolled up....they just annoy me and they are only after all commision sometimes there is an odd one who seems to know what they are talking about regarding what I suit/don't suit...most of them don't give a shit and want you to buy anything! One filled in my eyebrows hideously and I had to go to the toilets and wipe them off I was disgusted.

All in all I do believe Mac is a definate makeup staple - I LOVE B2M.

Also I want to try the natural msf's without any shimmer.

Happy blogging Adele x

Mixing foundations

I'm trying to get use up my foundations at the moment and I'm having a fun time mixing and experimenting with different combinations (even it if it is just for placement). My favourite combination so far is Chanel's Aqua Lumiere with Estee Lauder double wear - this time of year I'm having a hard time trying to match my colour as I'm so pale! I'm NOT buying another foundation until I've used at least 3 (hopefully)! I find that the mixing the foundations brings out the best of both of the foundation qualities: Doublewears staying power and Aqua Lumiere takes away the horrible thick wallpaper effect and adds a little sheen.

I've also rekindled my love for Nar's sheer glow - how did I stop using this baby? I love it - during the day I mix it with a little bit of double wear to increase the longevity of the product but oh my it looks beautiful on its own I can't wait to start wearing this baby again in the summer :)

What is your favourite combination?

January favourites.

Hello :) I hope the new year is going well for you all. I've been so busy! Practically I've been bogged down with placement I'm emotionally and physically drained! First night I've had free in ages to blog....

So I thought I would share with you my monthly favourites. <3

1. Naked palette- yeah featured in about everyone's monthly favourites

2. Nars orgasm and laguna duo- mostly using the orgasm as I'm too pale to wear bronzer at present love it- one of my favourite and most reached during the day blushers.

3. YSL 'shocking' mascara- favourite mascara of all time even overtaken my lancome obsession- doesn't last too long though :\

4.Viktor and Rolf Flower bomb - lovvvee this scent I know its been out ages but I've only discovered it recently since my fiance bought me it for Christmas he has a good idea of what I like and he knew I'd love this gem!

5. I had a thing about people filling in their brows and it looking too obvious and then I actually went and bought an eyebrow pencil! I over plucked my brows (boohoo) and needed to seek solace in one of these the colour brunette matches perfectly and the ash tones make it look more natural I try to make them look as natural as possible!

6. Foundations I'm obsessed I've got too many and I need to use at least 3 up until I invest in another one! Loving these three at the minute especially the Nars Sheer glow I forgot how bloody good it was!

:) Thanks for passing by Adele x
